Working Out

Hi Everyone!

I'm currently listening to Gone Forever by Three Days Grace (still)

Okay, so I was working out last night and happened to stumble upon a topic that I feel strongly about, etiquette. Where I work out there is a row of about twenty treadmills then a row of twenty or so bikes then a row of elliptical machines and finally a row of miscellaneous cardio machines. Then in the back is all the free weights and machines for specific muscles. Pretty standard.

So my view on etiquette, if possible take a machine where no one is on either side of you, people perfer to workout in their own worlds. Especially with the invention of IPODs. If you need a specific free weight that someone is using, start doing something else, respect the people who have it. DO NOT stand around and/or sigh heavily. Do not stare at people, glancing to get an idea for a new exercise is one thing, but staring is rude (in all situations). Biggest thing, clean your bikes/ellipticals off when you are done. No one wants to touch gross sweaty machines.

Oh, and a personal side note, boys, well men, you get to oogle us ladies all day long, we get to oogle you in the gym. period.

= )

Glance and periphiral vision are a mans greatest and most used tools. Some men don't have much experiance in this arena.
